PADI Courses

The Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) is the largest diver training organization in the world. Something like 10 million PADI diver certifications have been issued since it first started and it is by far the most widely recognized certification in the world.

PADI Courses are designed along the best modern teaching guidelines, using a system of modular programmes, multi-media enhanced teaching aids and prescriptive teaching options. You can even do the theory part of your open water course on-line! Training programmes follow a format that makes learning to scuba dive easy, fun and above all safe.

I am able to conduct a huge range of PADI training programmes so whatever your diving aspirations, I can help you to achieve them.

Open Water Diver

The PADI Open Water Course is the entry level course designed for the absolute beginner. It gives you a diving qualification, recognised world-wide, and will be your passport to a lifetime of adventure! The certification is a lifetime award and qualifies you to dive down to 18 metres with someone of the same level.

The PADI Open Water Courses is run over four days. The course is broken down into a number of modules to make learning easy and fun. I provide you with the latest multi media packs to help guide you through these sessions.

The cost of the course is 450Euro all inclusive.

Advanced Open Water Diver

The Advanced Open Water Diver course is designed to broaden your awareness, improve your skills and increase your experience in areas that might be new to you. It will not make you an expert, but will help you to put new skills and knowledge into practice under the safe guidance and supervision of a qualified instructor. There is a small amount of theory which you can do using the manual.

There are five dives to enjoy over two days; two compulsory core dives (Deep and Navigation) and three elective dives. The deep dive will take you to depths greater than 18m while the navigation will improve on what you learnt during your Open Water Course. The three elective dives are determined by logistics and weather to some extent, but options include Boat, Drift, Night, Multi-level, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Search and Recovery, and Wreck dives, to name but a few.

This course is great fun and takes your diving knowledge and experience to a new level. The course costs 300Euro which is all inclusive.

Rescue Diver

Take a subject like accident prevention and management and turn it into fun! The PADI Rescue Diver programme does just that by introducing new topics and expanding on existing skills in an enjoyable way. The end result is a diver with the knowledge and confidence to help others in distress. I firmly believe that the rescue course is probably the most important (and incidentally the most fun) course in the entire PADI programme.

The Rescue Diver course is designed to introduce topics and skills progressively. Your abilities are assessed throughout the course and culminate in your involvement in various accident scenarios at the end of the programme in which you put all your newly acquired skills into practice. Note that a first aid qualification is required to attend this programme.

This two day course costs 375Euro

Emergency First Response

I take first aid training seriously and believe that all divers should be able to offer Basic Life Support, including defibrillation and oxygen provision. Having first aid training is also a pre-requisite to undertake the Rescue Course.

The Emergency First Response course is a practical hands-on one day programme that covers training in primary care including primary assessment and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of emergency oxygen and automated external defibrillation. The programme also includes Secondary Care including illness and injury assessment and care.

When booked with a Rescue programme, the cost of the one day EFR course is 100Euro

Speciality Courses

Speciality courses are a great way to get more experience with a qualified PADI instructor by your side guiding you along the way. During your diving education you may have been captivated by the thought of diving on wrecks, or you may have wished you could try drift diving for the first time. Alternatively, you might want to learn more about the marine environment. I offer a variety of PADI speciality courses to suit your interests and aspirations, and a regular programme of courses. You will be amazed at how many opportunities there are!

Master Scuba Diver

The Master Scuba Diver is the highest non-professional level of qualification within the PADI education system. So why not take the Master Scuba Diver challenge. In order to qualify you need to jump through a few hoops first:

Be a qualified Rescue Diver

Have 5 Speciality certifications to your name

Have 50 dives

It’s quite an undertaking that will take time and a bit of money. So to help I have come up with a special deal. If you sign up for 5 speciality courses, I will give you your Rescue Diver course free of charge.

If you want to be the best and attain the ultimate recreational diver training award.

Dive Master
If you want to GoPRO then the PADI Divemaster course is your first step towards becoming a PADI professional and is designed to give you both a high level of personal diving skill and instructor level knowledge. PADI Divemasters act as role models for students, leading by example, whilst assisting PADI instructors in both confined and open water. Training in how to assist instructors and assume the role of responsibility for others will be an important part of your training.
